Prayer times calculated on your phone, and every adhan set in advance so it never waits for a network. With them, the Madani Mushaf with recitation, a khatmah plan, adhkar and the Hijri calendar. Five things, and nothing else.
A mizwala is the sundial mosques once used to tell prayer times. The app’s mark keeps the idea: five lights over one horizon, the sun’s places across a single day.
Three promises
An adhan that doesn’t let you down.
Because each one is set on the device in advance, and Mizwala watches what Android could use to silence it: notification permission, full-screen alerts, battery limits. If something is wrong, a banner appears with the one tap that fixes it.
Read in one second.
Because the next prayer and its countdown are the largest things on screen, over a sky the colour of the hour you are in. No splash screen and no interstitial between opening the app and the time.
Comfortable at any age.
Because touch targets are generous, running text never drops below a comfortable size, and every screen holds at 200% text size. It is written to be easy to read at 65.
01The five
Five things, done faithfully.
No news, no store, no social feed. Five things a Muslim needs every day, done properly, each one reopening exactly where you left it.
1 · Prayer
The times, and the adhan to the minute.
Umm al-Qura or the method you choose, calculated from where you are. At Fajr the adhan rises gently, with one reminder and no more. The two Makkah adhans are built in, so the very first adhan plays even without internet.
2 · Quran
The Mushaf as you know it.
The Madani Mushaf page by page, with each khatmah’s marker on the edge, or verse by verse with text that grows to 200%. Recitation highlights the verse being read, and repeats a verse or a passage for anyone memorising. Swipe down to search.
3 · Khatmah
A daily wird, without guilt.
Pick how long, and Mizwala splits the reading day by day. Pages read from a paper Mushaf can be logged and they count. Falling behind is “behind plan”, with a gentle way to catch up, never a red warning.
4 · Adhkar
Tap anywhere to count.
Morning, evening, sleep and after-prayer adhkar, each with its source. The counter is a wide tap zone, not a small button, moves to the next dhikr by itself, and keeps your place if you leave.
5 · Calendar
The Hijri month, as it was sighted.
The Umm al-Qura calendar, with the start of a month adjusted when the crescent is sighted off the calculation. The white days, Mondays and Thursdays, and Ramadan show up without searching.
Before the time, not after
If something would silence the adhan, you hear about it early.
On some phones, battery saving quietly stops apps in the background. Mizwala notices, tells you in one sentence what will happen and why, then gives you the button that fixes it. The adhan check keeps a log of every alert that did not sound, and the reason, and checks the phone’s clock.
02The sky
Every hour has its sky.
Home is the sky of the hour you are in, with the day drawn as a sun path from sunrise to Maghrib and the sun where it is now; at night, the moon and stars. No photographs, no ornament. The sky is enough.
Dhuhr
Ramadan
Maghrib
